A big day turns into several

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Weddings now have turned into a several day affair -and when are these most popular? over a long holiday weekend. US public holidays especially Memorial Day and Labor Day are extremely popular given that they are always on a Monday. Guests now fly in from all over to attend a wedding and to make it worth their while, the wedding turns into a 3 day extravaganza. The three-day wedding — starts with the rehearsal dinner, Day 2 would be the ceremony/reception and Day 3 the after wedding morning brunch — is becoming pretty standard as the white wedding dress. Thats not to mention the bachelor or bachelorette party!

Interspersed among the main events, you load guests up with fun stuff like a poker night, a round of golf, visits to the spa and shopping trips. We have seen some people who prefer to give away nice bridesmaids and groomsmen gifts instead of inviting them to the rehearsal dinner or entertaining them. And to show your appreciation to your wedding guests, it would be real nice to give them a thoughtful and if possible a personalized gift. This could be a money clip or cufflinks for your groomsmen and a nice tote bag or photo frame for the bridesmaids.
