Morning roast

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

I love the smell of coffee in the morning, and so does my girlfriend who could be a coffee connoisseur on the side. Instant coffee is an absolutely no no, and a Sumatra or a Kona blend may be just just what you need to kickstart a busy morning. Coffee blends ranging from Jack Nicholson’s pick in the Bucket List – Kopi Luwak to the regular American roast are available for the picking as long as you are willing to pay the price. To personalize our coffee drinking experience making it special is important- adds that special touch to our mornings- whether in bed or in our favorite coffee shop - our home.

Bridesmaids and Groomsmen – Koozie up

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

The other day I was at Central Park and and just people watching. Its something real fun to do in New York, pick up a bagged lunch and head on out to the grass and soak in the sun and the sounds. Its always nice to see young people getting to know each other, and allowing “nature” to take its course.
Some had taken the lunch hour to come out, others had a picnic basket all planned out, with all its trimmings. They even had their own personalized koozies, black for the guy and pink for the gal. Real cute- I mean the koozies that is! Wow, its nice to know that people still have the time despite having rushed jobs. Its nice to just smell the roses once in a while.

Groomsmen in the Summer

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

With summer around the corner, the aroma of barbecues firing up around the neighborhood and pool parties on every block bring people out of their cold wintery mood. We guys in our neighborhood take turns grilling on the weekends in our outdoor kitchens, grilling everything from burgers to ribs with everyone making their own secret recipe marinade. Weddings seem to be a lot more fun in the outdoors and tend to make young groomsmen and bridesmaids flirt more! My brother surprised us with our own personalized steak branding irons as groomsmen gifts which was a cool thought. Nothing like a well done steak branded with your initials to woo the ladies- unless of course you’re not sure of your grilling!

Are you a sharp tool?

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

Ever since evolution gave man 2 opposing thumbs, men have constantly come up with newer and more practical tools to keep their hands busy.
Is is larger brains over chimps or was it opposing thumbs that gave us a quantum leap forward over our closest cousins? That is a question that is still debated by experts.
Even modern day television continues to enthrall us about our tools, not to mention the DIY channel and Home Improvement’s Tim Allen on Tool Time.
My son is also riveted on tool shows like Handy Manny with his talking tools!
We may or may not have come along way from our ancestors, but we can be sure we men are always on the lookout for a good pocket knife tool to keep handy- making it a hands down successful gift for any man and his groomsmen.

Free Press Release- From Groomsmen to Fathers – Gifts Galore

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

With times looking brighter, special people like father’s deserve special attention. A good gesture to tell dad how special we feel he is is with a gift with a personal touch.United States of America (Press Release) May 5, 2009 — The mid year is fast approaching and seems like we have heard enough about a recession. It is during these times that we remember special and important people in our lives. The all knowing pater, or head family honcho does deserve special attention at times. Now is one such time.
The patriarch typically keeps the family together, contributes significantly to keeping a roof over our heads and hopefully our finances from going underwater.

A gift doesn’t have to be extravagant, it may be something that Dad really needs – a pocket knife or a razor; or maybe something nice like a personalized beer mug or cufflinks. The idea is to show Dad that he is special and to make him feel a little special too- even though he may not be the type to get warm and fuzzy about gifts.

Is it time to light a Cuban cigar?

Monday, May 4th, 2009

We have come a long way from the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban missile crisis days during the Kennedy administration to the present day Obama government policies. I remember in the 1960’s that Havana was called the Paris of the Caribbean and then came Fidel Castro. Dont you think it will be interesting to see what happens now with travel and money flowing in to Cuba?  What I would like to see is the US market open to a free flow of fine Cuban cigars! Ohh that would be wonderful! If only Castro gave Obama a box of cigars instead of his book!! But right now, we have to be happy with a great personalized pub sign of a wonderful Cuban - great look minus the aroma! To rub it in, I plan to give my groomsmen this pubsign as a groomsmen gift on my wedding! and much cheaper than a box of cigars but officially available!

Charging up your Executive Desk

Friday, May 1st, 2009

I have friends across the Brooklyn bridge in Manhattan that were feeling a little low, and I thought of a good idea to put a charge in their lives. With great earnings coming from RIM and prospects from Apple, they were back on their Blackberrys and twittering away on their Iphones. This was a great time to organize and regroup their corporate lives and desks. Gave them each, a personalized executive charging station and oh my! were they charged up!
You can pick one up quickly to re-charge your friends too, before they run out.
